Stranded Patient Insights

Stranded and Super Stranded patients are often at risk of sleep deprivation, increased risk of falls and fractures, prolonging catching healthcare-associated muscle strength leading to greater physical dependency.

Tackling these issues will reduce risk of patient harm and disability, particularly for those who are intrinsically vulnerable due to a mild or moderate frailty and/or cognitive disorder. A different, more positive outcome can be achieved if the right steps are taken very early in their admission, and can result in reduced unwarranted cost for organizations.
